handmade dilema- to gift or not to gift

Raise your hand if you ever get caught up in the dilemma of creating and gifting handmade items. I can't be the only one! The struggle is real when it comes to choosing the perfect project, worrying about the recipient's reaction, and wanting to give something truly cherished. It's a common concern that sneaks up on me from time to time, does it happen to you?

But let me share a recent gifting experience. Recently, I had the joy of making a Patchwork Duffle Bag for my Mom as a Mother's Day gift. It was crafted with love and I used some of my stashed away Rifle Paper Fabric featuring beautiful peonies—my absolute favorite! 🌸💝 And you know what? When she received it, her excitement was absolutely priceless! Seeing her genuine joy made all the doubts and worries disappear.

I couldn't resist taking a few photos of the bag before gifting it with some actual peonies that I happened to have at my house at the time! It was a delightful coincidence. In addition to the Duffle Bag, I also made a Holland Pouch, and a Crosley Pouch to go with it and she loved them all.

If you, like me, sometimes question the art of handmade gifting, know that you're not alone. Remember, the true value lies in the thought and effort put into each creation, and the joy it brings to the recipient's heart. Whether it's a patchwork duffle, a hand-knit scarf, or a carefully painted artwork, handmade gifts are a beautiful expression of love and care.
