first finish of 2022

I love photography and love when I get to photograph a newly finished quilt. This past week I spent a few days with my guys in North Florida on Amelia Island for Spring Break. It was much cooler than our usual beach trips (it got down to 36 degrees at one point!!!) so we did a lot less swimming and a lot more exploring.

My favorite thing we did was visit Black Rock Beach. It was absolutely breath taking and full of amazing driftwood trees, tide pools and cool rock formations. Our crew had an amazing time exploring there and I could have stayed there all day long.

When traveling, I try to take a quilt along to bind. Luckily I finished this Drunkards Path Quilt the night before our outing. Black Rock Beach was the perfect back drop for this bright and colorful quilt! You’ll have to excuse the oversharing of photos, I could never choose a favorite.
